Growing up in a family rich with musicians and creatives, Kyla’s infatuation with music and songwriting was organic. It was her singer and piano-playing mom who gifted her with a Yamaha guitar just as she went off to college. Little did she know this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey as an acoustic soul artist. Since that moment, this initially self-taught instrumentalist hit the ground running, singing for an array of events and venues along the East Coast.
Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, this now Atlanta resident has been shaking up the ATL with her soulful sound and positive vibes, dimples and all, hitting all the local hot spots. Recently, Ms. Simone released her R&B single “Love You Already” which she dons as a song for her future boo. This song, produced in Charlotte, NC by Krazy Figz, is available everywhere digital music is available.
In addition to a booming solo career, Kyla Simone is also the Founder of Girls and Guitars, a community and performance platform for girl and women singer-songwriters who share a passion for playing the guitar and other similar stringed instruments.
